Microblading

Microblading is the art of creating individual hair strokes through a manual tattoo procedure to enhance, define or shape your thinning eyebrows.

Shading & Powdering:  Shading adds definition and depth by manually stippling in a powder effect into the brow or creating a powder effect with a permanent makeup tattoo device.  This is a great way to add more definition to microblading or covering up previously faded microbladed/tattooed brows.

Monica’s Signature Technique creates balance with natural microblading by adding in hair stokes with a wispy, feathery effect that flows into your natural brow pattern and bone structure. Leaving you with a balanced, fuller brow that defines and enhances your natural beauty. *Please note Monica’s method to “shading/powdering” is with a manual stippling technique to add depth to natural microblading.

In 2016, Monica completed her first certification with Master Artist Lindsay Ta, of Microblading LA, learning the foundation, fundamentals and award winning methods of microblading. She then continued her education in an advanced workshop with Master Artist Jenn Boyd Ink, certifying in “Combo Brows”, using a manual shading technique to create depth to microblading. Monica also took her skill to the next level by training with Nano Brow Global Trainer, Maya Moore, of MooreBeautyLove Academy in PMU Nano & Ombre brows.

what to expect

Brow application will take approximately 2 hours, which entails mapping out your brows (creating balance to perfect your shape), choosing the right pigment, numbing, then microblading your brows to perfection.

*note: anesthetic creams are used before and during procedure, keeping discomfort to a minimum.

Post microblading, you will be sent home with aftercare ointment and cleanser made specifically for microblading, along with a post-care form.  The healing process will vary per individual, as well as the results.  Following instructions can help you achieve but cannot guarantee results.  Failure to follow post-care instructions may cause loss of pigment, discoloration or infection.

touch up

Microblading results differ from client to client.  Every person has different skin types and lifestyles, therefore the procedure holds up differently.  After the initial microblading session, an 8-10 week touch-up session is recommended to add more strokes and/or adjust any unevenness of color after scabbing has flaked off and after the skin has fully healed.  Once brows are perfected, touch-ups are recommended after 1-2 years to keep the strokes crisp and the color vibrant.
